CO YO was developed on the Sunshine Coast of Australia by Sandra and Henry Gosling in 2010, started out as a dream. Henry, who grew up in Fiji, wanted to awaken the rest of the world to the health benefits of the coconut which is called the “tree of Life” for its legendary, powerful health benefits. As a young boy, it was Henry’s job to climb the local trees for the coconuts his mother wanted to use in her cooking. He had to then grate and squeeze the flesh of the coconut to extract the milk which was used in family meals. Fast forward a few decades and after successfully doing many fresh-food related ventures, Sandra and Henry began in earnest to develop a coconut based yogurt that was totally dairy free and completely vegan with a minimal amount of ingredients. After a considerable amount of trial and error, their diligence resulted in CO YO – a yogurt alternative which is truly “Heaven in a Mouthful”.
